1996年 9/26にリリースされた SPELLBOUND Records 初の12"シングル、Ben The Ace / TWIGY "Mirror Ball -SPELLBOUND-" b/w "Miharukasu Kanata"　(SW-4001) から、ILL SIDE と名付けられたB面のトラック、「みはるかすかなた」を7インチヴァイナル化。

1996年6月、アンダーグラウンド・ヒップホップ最盛期のニューヨークでの、2週間のレコーディングセッションで制作されたこの曲は、当時の空気感が色濃く反映され、チルでメロウな「ミラーボール」が老若男女問わず広く支持されたのとは対照的に、まさにB-Side Wins Again! 的な、ハードコアなヒップホップファンからの人気が高いドープ・トラック。

　　ツイギーの即興性の強いリリックは、独特の言い回しでフロウを産み出すアブストラクトなライミング・スタイルで、ありふれた言葉にもなにか脳に刺激を与えるような力を引き出すスキルが際立つ。出来立てのビートにその場でリリックを作ったこの時のセッションは、その即興性の魅力が存分に発揮しされている。
「SPELLBOUND ＝魅了される」という意味の名をつけたレーベルを始めた理由こそ、このツイギーの言葉をあやつる才能に魅せられたことがきっかけで、それを形にしようという最初の試みがこのレコードだ。
